GENERAL GUIDELINES REGARDING A WEDDING IN A CATHOLIC CHURCH
One of the parties requesting a wedding must be a baptized, practicing Catholic
currently registered in a parish. Any previous marriages by either the Catholic or
Non-Catholic must already be annulled or the proper paperwork finalized.
There is a six-month Catholic requirement for marriage preparation. This
preparation may be completed in your own parish. Documentation of your
completed marriage preparation program must be forwarded to the our parish
before your wedding file can be completed.

The ceremony times on Fridays at any time.The Saturday ceremony times are
10:30 am, 12:00pm, 1:30pm, 3:00pm.
Weddings on Sunday are celebrated on a case by case basis usually at 2pm onwards.
The use of alcohol is not permitted by any member of the bridal party before the
rehearsal or the wedding. No food or alcohol is allowed in the Bride’s Dressing
Room. Recreational drugs are prohibited at all times. If these rules are violated,
the wedding will not take place. Our Lady of Perpetual Help is a non-smoking facility.
It is your responsibility to inform all members of your wedding party about the rules.
We can provide either a priest or deacon to preside over your ceremony. If you
prefer to provide your own priest, you must notify us in writing at least six months in
advance of your wedding date and provide the priest’s name, parish and contact
